Curriculum for "Seeker" and New Christians Classes
| Introductory Course ("Discovery Class") | Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John |
| What You Need to Know About the Bible | The New You |
The curriculum is designed for 8-week small group sessions.
Each lesson is in Microsoft Word format and fills one 8 1/2" X 11" printed page (horizontally formatted for two columns side-by-side). The group members can fold the pages in half and keep them in their bibles.
The advantage of having the material in electronic form is that you can tailor it to your own needs and tastes.
The curriculum is designed as an outline to facilitate discussion. It is up to the teacher to explain the concepts, provide illustrations, and lead the discussion.
This material is available to you free of charge to duplicate and use in your ministry. If you use it, it would be encouraging to receive a brief e-mail indicating how you used it and the results. This material may not be published and sold without my express written permission.
The curriculum has been used used in small group study in a local church context for the past decade with good results. My thanks to my partners in ministry who have taught from this material and helped to develop it. They include my wife, Barbara, Steve & Gwynne Watson, John & Sharon McAleese, and Debbie Schuster.
Remember that working through a curriculum is only part of the work. Building mentoring and small group relationships is essential to the discipleship process. It is in these contexts that new believers can see the Christian life incarnated and have the opportunity to ask their deeper questions.
