Daniel Chang comes to Biola from the surf industry, through Billabong USA, where he worked as an art director/designer/illustrator. He also maintains a freelance practice with clients ranging from Time Magazine, The New Republic, Random House, MOCA, Chronicle Books, Los Angeles Times, Element Skateboards, San Francisco Chronicle, Neenah Paper, etc. His work has been published in Communication Arts, American Illustration, The Society of Illustrators and the AIGA. He graduated with distinction from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. In addition, He holds an M.A. from Westminster Theological Seminary California and a B.A. from the University of California, Irvine.
