CV Document (PDF)

Janelle Klapauszak is a native Albertan who has split her time living in Canada and the US for the last fifteen years (with a little dash of Kenya thrown in). She loves visiting and living in new cultures, and with parents living in Brazil and a best friend in India, doesn't intend to stop travelling any time soon. She is an avid NBA and ATP fan, and is more than willing to resort to fisticuffs over the honor of Steve Nash. Professor Klapauszak also has a great love of film, which she has developed into an interest in the philosophy of film; she is eager to share this love with her students, and regularly invites them to her house to watch and talk about great films.

When she curls up with a book outside of the Torrey curriculum, it's usually by CS Lewis, though other British authors-with-initials like JRR Tolkien and PD James have been known to insert themselves into the lineup. Her interests in philosophy center around questions about the good life - what it is, how to pursue it, how to encourage others to do the same - and her interest in them comes from her ardent desire to pursue that good life herself, a life that honors God and serves his people as well as possible.
