A WORD FROM THE CHAIR

Welcome to the Dept. of Communication Disorders!

The Communication Disorders program at Biola University has two major goals.  First, to prepare young men and women to work in our onsite clinic their senior year.  Second, to prepare them for their graduate school education in either Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology.  We pride ourselves on the fact that approximately 90% of our students who apply to graduate school are accepted and our alums report that they feel prepared for their graduate experiences.  But there is much more to the Biola experience than just our program.

For example, Biola University offers an intellectually challenging environment where students can examine important issues with the help of top Christian thinkers.  In addition to an emphasis on professional studies, all Biola students graduate with a working knowledge of the Scriptures and are challenged to develop a personal Christian worldview. At Biola, your study in the area of Communication Disorders will be integrated with academic learning and spiritual growth as you prepare to impact the world for the Lord Jesus Christ.  Lastly, the Student Development area is committed to providing a rich and spiritually stimulating community environment where you can grow in your faith in our great God.
