Dr. Leyda currently serves as chairman of the Christian Education Department, where he oversees both bachelor's and master's programs. He particularly enjoys his teaching, advising, and mentoring of undergraduate students. Having extensive parachurch experience, he engaged in both camp ministry and Christian secondary education prior to teaching at Talbot. His work has appeared in the Christian Education Journal, Research on Higher Christian Education, and the Baker Evangelical Dictionary of Christian Education. He also contributed to a number of texts on the topics of camping, parachurch ministry, and leadership development. His lay contributions have included both church and parachurch board participation.
