Mezzo-soprano Susan Ali earned the master of fine arts degree in vocal performance from the University of California, Irvine and the bachelor of music, vocal performance degree from San Diego State University. Ms. Ali is a part of the church family at the Community Church, Congregational in Corona del Mar where she enjoys contributing her talents through song. Some of the roles Ms. Ali has enjoyed performing on stage are Carmen, the Witch in Hansel and Gretel, Dinah in Trouble in Tahiti, Maria in the Sound of Music, and the Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors. Ms. Ali has performed in Concordia University Masterworks Concerts as soloist and the dramatic Witch of Endor in Honnegar's King David Oratorio, and as Alto soloist in Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass and Mozart's Requiem. Other orchestral credits include Falla's El Amor Brujo, numerous Summer Pops concerts, and Handel's Messiah with the San Diego Chamber Orchestra and San Diego Master Chorale. Ms. Ali has also been featured with South Bay Opera, Orange County Opera, and Pacific Symphony Orchestra.
